Hirers who arrange activities for others Children, must demonstrate to the Memorial Hall Committee, that they have a Child Protection Policy plus Criminal Record Bureau checks and Independent Safeguarding Authority registration, as appropriate. Hirers who sub-hire eg childrens entertainers are responsible for ensuring that these persons are similarly checked/registered.

The Memorial Hall Committee is currently drafting an internal Child Protection Policy. This will mandate the requirements of the Children's Act and associated legislation upon relevant hirers.
